Slate is an CRM system that hosts numerous data items that may require high levels of security and confidentiality. Most notably, some of the data is protected under the Buckley Amendment / Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). 

The University's Education Records Policy, 3.006 regarding the use and release of student records is governed by Public Law 93-380, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); also known as the Buckley Amendment. FGCU employees are charged with protecting the confidentiality of the education records and are to be fully aware of the procedures for maintaining these records in a secure environment.

Please don't allow others to use your account or tell them your account password. It's also not a sound security practice to write your password down and keep it in places accessible to others. Finally, computers open in Slate should not be left running unattended.
